Woo 2nd oil painting!

I did this in the middle of the summer holidays this year to practise my oils skillzz and am now realy proud! I know i'm not pro yet, but it's the hugest step-up i could've imagined since my last (and first) oil painting, that CRINGEY self portrait!

The reference i used was in a Vouge make-up book. I changed it quite a lot as the model for one thing had yellow foil stuck over her eyebrows, yellow face paint and her hair greased back, she also looked quite angry. I hope Ruby looks nice and normal! (Name Ruby just thought of randomly!) And i don't know how long it took, but i have decided that i heart oils now and it's blendy-stay wetty qualities!

Tama this is sooooooo beautiful! You truly have oils SKILLZZZ now, your improvement is amazing. I think the highlights on her skin are especially well done, they really emphasize the plastic-like quality of the model's skin texture in the original photo (remember how I told you to do them? hehehe!)
I wait in anticipation for your future masterpieces! :clap:

How on earth did you do that?
I'm not just saying this - it looks incredibly professional.
It's so realistic and life-like. Everything is in proportion and the tones and highlights in the hair and skin are fantastic.
I did a painting of fruit for art and Mrs Emery told me to highlight the fruit a bit more with white and I totally messed it up! I want your skill at highlighting!
This is, by faaaar, my favourite piece by you =) It's like one of those paintings you see around school that actually stop you in your tracks.
